This globe has been developped by the designers Mike Davis and Mark Ital. During a flight to Hong Kong, they read the story of Columbus, world-leader in globes, in the Inflight Magazine of the Lufthansa. Both owned a globe and enjoyed this informative product, but they wanted to re-invent it. During this long flight, they decided to visit Columbus at their return. The idea of a Lifestyle Globe, with the features of a light, was born. Devign (Developpment and Design) was created to distribute these lifestyle products.
